As a follow up to my post on Moses’ issues with self-expression and the human resistance to redemption, I thought I’d share some practices that have helped me with balancing the throat chakra.
Video re-cap, plus some extra tips:
Self-inquiry: Ask yourself what you are holding back from expressing? What are you having difficulty creating and birthing into the material world? What personal truth are you afraid of communicating out loud?
Color: BLUE. Wear it. Look at it. Color it.
Affirmations: Repeat these statements. Feel their resonance in your body and throat.
I am open, clear, and honest in my communication.
I communicate my feelings with ease.
I live an authentic life.
I love to share my experiences and wisdom.
Crystals: Chalcedony, turquoise, aquamarine, lapis, blue topaz.
This is the one I wanted to show you in the video (actually it’s chalcanthite, not chalcedony):
Singing: My current song of choice –> Don’t Cry For Me Argentina.
I actually like Madonna’s rendition the best.
Earth: Lie down on the grass and feel yourself melt into Gaia. Allow her to nourish and energize your body, balance your chakras, and calm your emotions.
Essential Oils: Sandalwood, lavender, jasmine, rosewood.
Chanting: Ham. I also recommend the Moola Mantra sung by Prema Deval.
Yoga Asanas: Back bends, fish pose, bridge pose.
Don’t Cry For Me Argentina Lyrics:
It won’t be easy, you’ll think it strange
When I try to explain how I feel
That I still need your love after all that I’ve done
You won’t believe me
All you will see is a girl you once knew
Although she’s dressed up to the nines
At sixes and sevens with you
I had to let it happen, I had to change
Couldn’t stay all my life down at heel
Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun
So I chose freedom
Running around, trying everything new
But nothing impressed me at all
I never expected it to
Don’t cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don’t keep your distance
And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired
They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me
Don’t cry for me Argentina
Have I said too much?
There’s nothing more I can think of to say to you.
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true…
