These are super high quality magnesium chloride flakes harvested from the Dead Sea. (As with all the products I share with clients, I’ve done my research and experimentation over the decades!) Pure, no chemical processing or fillers.
The Lavendar scent is really lovely, and comes from the addition of USDA organic essential oils (I also have Unscented bags - just let me know).
I love using one cup for bath soaks (1 bag gives you at least 12 soaks).
It helps me to relax, ease muscle tension and fatigue, cleanse my energy field (SALT, ya know), and get a great night’s sleep. The Dead Sea salt also can help with skin issues like eczema and psoriasis (for this, soak when water cools to warm temperature, not hot).
Magnesium is the main element here that works magic for body and nervous system relaxation, and there’s also potassium (helps balance skin moisture), calcium (increases circulation, strengthens bones and nails), and bromides (eases muscle stiffness) + 17 other minerals.
NOTE: Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate) is a totally different compound, synthetically manufactured, and interacts with the body differently - it doesn’t absorb as well.
Epsom salt is only about 8% elemental magnesium, whereas Dead Sea magnesium chloride is around 47% elemental magnesium. The latter is much more bioavailable through the skin. That’s why you’d need nearly a whole bag of Epsom salt to deliver what just one cup of Dead Sea flakes does.
Enjoy your new bath ritual! :)
